Statement on Events
Kia Ora,
This weekend will be peaceful protests in support of our people across Aotearoa, we would like to encourage everyone to come along.
What we must do:
BE VISIBLE,
BE LOUD,
BE PROUD
AND STAND STRONG
These imported views into New Zealand over the last week have been a disruption for our community and the events in Australia where extremists were walking the streets displaying Nazi body language.
We must be strong and promote inclusivity and we believe that all people are equal no matter who you are.
You deserve the same rights, no matter how you identify yourself.
Event Details:
11AM
SATURDAY 25TH MAR
Auckland – ALBERT PARK
2pm – 4pm
SUNDAY 26th MAR
Wellington – CIVIC SQUARE
11AM
SUNDAY 26th MAR
Christchurch – Bridge of Remembrance
We are however disappointed that the Minister of Immigration Michael Wood and council bodies have allowed hate speech in our community especially after the terror attacks in Christchurch
We expect better from this Government and encourage voters later this year to consider voting for parties that will do more to protect New Zealand from these imported terrorist extremists.
Kia pai tō rā whakatā,
Pride New Zealand
